Embellishment is something that is really in at the moment. They are used on cards and on scrapbook sites equally often. This embellishment is perfect because it gives you the opportunity to put to good use some of the scraps of designer paper that might otherwise go into the trash.
To start, you want to have 2 or more strips of paper that are the same width. Keep in mind that your circle will be doubled the diameter of the width of your strip. For example, if your strip is 1" wide, your "flower" diameter will be 2".

The image below shows how it should look at this point.

Place a glue dot in the middle of your circle.

Now push the paper to the inside, closing the circle.

Sprinkle it with glitter.

Shake off the excess.

Finish your embellishment off with buttons, prima flowers or, as on my card seen on Pretty Cards,
you can use a circular sentiment stamped and cut out with a punch.
Add a generous amount of sticky tape to the back to adhere the embellishment to your card.

Score both strips of paper in equal intervals all the way to the end.
I score mine so the valleys and the mountains will be small.

This is how both will look after folding.

Add double-sided tape to both ends and adhere the strips together.

This
flower is a wonderful idea to add a 3-D element to projects such as tins or
boxes. It's nothing super new, but something fun to try this weekend?!? Check out the card image below using the MAGIC FAIRY stamp from Rachelle Anne Miller and my flower embellishment!
This is so simple (or your tutorial made it look simple) but with a fantastic result. Thanks for the knowledge.
